The Scapeture story
I am an artist who loves taking photos for enjoyment but also to share with others.
I am a husband and father of two boys who is based in the quiet town of Murwillumbah in Northern NSW.
Originally from a small town Whangarei at the top of the north island of New Zealand, I decided to make the change to a different life across the Tasman.
I have seen so much change in the way of photography as an art medium since the early 1990s. The huge change from the film to digital eras has been a wild ride and although I have embraced the digital era, my heart remains with shooting film. Nothing compares to capturing that perfect moment in time where all elements align to get “the shot”.
There is nothing more moving than the childlike feeling of anticipation and excitement of waiting for that film to be developed.
My first full-time photography job was in 1999 and then worked for a variety of different companies and clients since.
The next step was to create my own business, in 2007 Scapeture (LandScape and CapTure) was born. An online and market stall based business which focussed on local and the Gold Coast area. I loved the beachside markets of Burleigh, Coolangatta and Broadbeach.
Since 2010 a few changes happened in my life which led me to put my photography on hold but have continued to shoot Photos and build my image library and passion for my work.
My love is the natural environment that surrounds us.
I document our ever-changing world with my view of the environment and try to capture my own experience of the beautiful world we live in.
I hope you enjoy my photography and thank you for visiting my online gallery.
